Perparing for wisdom teeth extraction?!

Question:

Perparing for wisdom teeth extraction?

Ok, so I am getting my wisdom teeth removed on the 5th. And I got this booklet from my dentist on "How to prepare for extraction." And It's a bunch of crap, it had nothing important to say. I even told my dentist which medication I am on, and if I should stop taking my meds and any pain relievers. And he totally ignored the question. To all those who have had their wisdom teeth removed, do you have any tips? Anything I should be aware of? Thanks for the help!!! :o)

Answers:

Don't take meds a few days before surgery! Also don't eat, I'm sure they've told you that but yeah you're not supposed to eat for, what is it, 8 hours before the surgery? But anyway it's an experience I guess, even kind of fun in a way. Afterwards they'll give you all sorts of meds (in fact you should already have picked them up by now?) like anti-inflammitories, anti-biotics, and strong painkillers. I'd also recommend zinc supplements because it speeds up tissue healing, as well as vit C and anything else that'd help.
