My gums hurt when I eat fruits and vegetables?!

Question:

My gums hurt when I eat fruits and vegetables?

When I eat certain fruits and vegetables my gums sting and get a little swollen and get a hot feeling. It happens when I eat tomatos, peaches, carrots, apples and a few other fruits. The swelling is a little unpleasant but it doesnt keep me from eating these foods. I see a dentist regularly and he hasn't indicated that theres anything wrong with my teeth or gums. Maybe an allergy? Any ideas?

Answers:

I think maybe you have a problem with acidy foods. Does spagetti sauce bother you. Most of the things you mention have some amount of acidic values
Temperature can tell if you are allergic. Get an ear thermometer and take you temp before and after you eat. If you temp spikes high you may have an allergy. Temp will increase some due just to eating, causes metabolism activity.
