What should I do? I went to the dentist...?!

Question:

What should I do? I went to the dentist...?

because I had felt a filling come out, just to get it replaced I had no pain or infection .Afterwards I had a lot of pain.Went back. He ground it down, sent me home, still had pain.Went back. He then said I needed a root canal, went and had a root canal done. Still more pain and infection. Went on antibiotics, still pain and infection. Endontist said tooth was still to high ground it down twice!!! Now she says, I may have a bone infection but to wait two weeks, I didn't have any pain or infection to begin with , now this is costing me a fortune, plus I am suffering. Why would this be so complicated? Shouldn't he have known that I needed a root canal initially, rather than do a filling that would have to be removed anyway? And how did I get a bone infection, I have been on antibiotics for weeks because of this, two different kinds? Needless to say I am very upset about this and need some input from any dental experts that can be objective. 9 visits total for 1 tooth...

Mark H - FYI I did not ask why the filling fell out, I asked if it seems that that many visits in the space of a month and a half seems excessive I feel like they are milking my insurance. I do brush and floss every day twice a day at least .. I am aware that I had cavity...

Answers:

The only way i can fiqure you got a bone infection is that after you got the main infection and they kept doing procedures to your tooth it spread to the bone
but honestly i've never heard of a bone infection is it possiable your roots were twisted around ur jaw bone and when you had the root canal done it could of possiably broken ur jaw bone and no one relized it this happened to my kids aunt, NO one knew her jaw was broken not even the denist or her self, she just assumed the pain was from the root canal after about 2-3 weeks and she was still in masive pain she went to a differnt dentist they took a X ray and Seen her jaw was broken , and it was caused by the 1st dentist yanking her tooth out without noticing the roots were wrapped around the jaw bone

they didn't prescribe you any pain killers? i'd be calling and complaing about that every time i got a tooth pulled they prescribe me pain killers
but you can try Aleve it works pretty good on a array of aches and pains
and you might want to get a second opionion form a completly differnt dentist office
