Couldn't fit whole story, so i'll have to shorten it. thisWILL take long2 describe the situation, butHOPE you'llHELP. I haveA tooth thatNEEDSa rootCANAL. The tooth next toTHAT one isA tooth thatNEEDSa filling (31or30). myDENTIST isSUPPOSED to do theFILLING but messed up and drilled for about 15secs onTHEtooth that needed the RC. sheFINISHED theFILLING for the correctTOOTH and left the tooth that needed the RC basically hollow. she put a piece of cotton in thereAND told meTHAT whenver i feltLIKE itWAS hollow, put a piece of cotton in there else food will get in.sheSAID she couldntPUT temporaryFILLING in there orELSE it will SWELLup. so nowMY hollowTOOTH that NEEDSthe RC is occupied w/ a smallPIECE ofCOTTON. question is, howDO i brush over it? do iBRUSH my teethNORMALLY WITH the cotton in there? or do i take itOUT andBRUSH over the hollowSPOT. Answers:

it means that you dont have to brush it, just gargle with listerine or salt water.

you have to brush the other teeth and gargle (remove the cotton first) to clean the hollow teeth

and the dentist suppose to give you an antibiotic for at least 7 days to prevent invasion of bacteria that will cause infection

i'm sure your dentist knows what's best to do, juz ask her to explain everything, so that you'll know what's best to do and what happened to your teeth
