What is good to stop a toothache?

i have a major one on my back rear molar it hurts like crazy

avavu: ratten...i think you mean rotten and as you can see there is plenty of things you can do considering all of the messages that have been posted, and I do not have rotten teeth by the way. Have you never just gotten a toothache...? Also what i meant by the dentist thing is to give me an alternative besides that everyone knows to see a dentist but what can you do in between that time..duh!

i did the whole salt water thing already a while ago, but it did not really help so much...but thanks!

Any pain killer like aspirin, disprin etc would bring instafunt relief.But some of them bring on side reactions e.g.swollen lips etc-not painful and not lasting but looking awkward. However, the ultimate solution is consult a dentist.The nearby tooth may be infected unless you do this.
