Maybe headgear of jaw surgery but sometimes they have bridge types appliances for certain people. Good luck and hope you don't need surgery.

You can sue him for Malpractice!

Actually braces cannot correct an overbite, the only correction for an over bite is jaw surgery, however a chin implant might make it look better.

My son has an overbite and has fixed braces. However he is also going to have surgery to realign the lower jaw as the orthodontist and the surgeon have advised that without it, as soon as the braces come off, his teeth will start to go crooked again. It sounds as though you have the same problem. It may well be that surgery is the only answer as well as the brace. Be warned though, it is not a pleasant procedure and not something undertaken lightly. My son had to have several appointments with his doctors to ensure it was the right thing for him and to make sure he knew what he was committing to.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
