My ortho sent me a sheet saying that in the next appointment which is July 4th (!

My ortho sent me a sheet saying that in the next appointment which is July 4th (6 days from now! OMG) lol x]?

Bands are fitted around the posterior teeth. What does that mean? Whats it for? Btw i have the spacers on already. Then for my next next appointment on July 18th the brackets are put on. And it says for the upper teeth? then theres a 4th appoinment but will i even get one? this sheet is for people getting braces generally not for me personally. The 4th one it says lower anterior brackets are usually places from 3-5 months after the uppers since they may be bitten off or borken by the upper teeth if there is an overbite present. But id un have an overbite O_o. Very confusing,

And does it hurt when they put the bands on? And what else hurts and what doesnt? ( i feel like a question girl today lol x])

The bands, if I remember correctly from my braces, are these metal ring things that fit around your whole tooth that's all the way in the back. They just sort of push it down over the top of your tooth. The braces are hooked up to that. The brackets are the little square things that a wire runs through. Wow, this is hard to explain without drawing. The brackets are just glued right onto the teeth, but sometimes they come off from eating sticky hard things like caramel etc.
