If you are under 19 and in full time education you get free dental treatment.
Otherwise you have to fill in an HC1 form that you can pick up from your dentist. I think it means tests you so if you are rich you still have to pay.

No student discount that I know of, I was a student until quite recently. If you are on benefits then you're entitled to free dental care though. If not you'll just have to cough up like the rest of us.
Many of these criteria say something like "or full-time education".
