Question:
Bibs at the dentist?
Do dentist still uses rubber bibs instead of paper. The reason I asked is because i just had a shirt stained because of somthing leaking throught the paper bib. or can i request one, One of my friends rembers wearing a long rubber apron at the dentist when he was a kid

I understand about the the xray bib, but the other bib was just paper. i even looked at it after. next time she said she would use a surgical bib.

I am a certified dental assistant and I also do the ordering in our office. Not all patient bibs have a plastic lining on the back. I have mistakenly ordered bibs with no lining and stuff can leak through. i now am very careful to order the bibs with the lining and these do not allow anything to leak through. Make sure to ask your dentist next time to use a bib with a plastic lining.
