Question: this thing on the side of my mouth it is bumpy and i do not get cold sores so that is not it and so do not tell me it is.

I have those, and I think they're just a result from chewing on the sides of your mouth. It isn't anything like cold sores or anything from an illness.

If it hurts, then it could be a few things....; a small cold sore, a abscess or a mouth sore (blister). If you want to try and see if you can get rid of it on your own.... try rinsing with luke warm salt water several times a day..... 1 tablespoon of salt in 1 cup of luke warm water. If that doesn't help, then get to the dentist... they should be able to diagnose the problem.
