I am getting my wisdom teeth and they are killing me!!!?!

Question: I thought I had a tooth ache but come to find out I am getting my top and bottom right side wisdom teeth. They have been hurting me for like 4 days now. I looked in the mirror and I can see them coming through. I am scared to death of going to the dentist expecially going under anesticia (dnt no how to spell it). Anyone got any advice or help?!?! PLEASE!!!!!

the only reason why ur wisdom teeth r hurting u is bec the tooth is cutting through the gum and u r most likely to have a teasing pain. it will get better as the tooth will enter the oral cavity. dont get ur wisdom teeth removed unless there is a serious prob. wisdom teeth dont necessarily need to be removed.BTW rinse w salt water and Crest prohealth mouthwash it will help a great deal. make sure u gently brush the area w a soft toothbrush not to irritate the gums more

You only need to get your wisdom teeth taken out: if they are coming in wrong, in which they would push against your other teeth and make them misaligned, or if they don't come in at all, say they stay underneath the gums. But i just had two wisdom teeth taken out last month, and it didn't hurt at all, because I was lucky, they came in the correct way so they only numbed the area, the experience was fine and it didn't hurt afterwards.

If you get general anesthesia (as opposed to local) you won't hear, see, or feel anything at all. That's what I did when I had mine out.

Orajel an over the counter gel will help with the pain.

you only have to go to the dentist if they don't come through. If you can see them and they are coming through then you should be fine. I am almost finished growing myne, my advice is take tylanol.

i don't think they really put you under general anesthesia, just a really strong benedryl type of medication, at least that's what they did with my son.

Lo siento...

avoid rinsing ur mouth w/ salt water, get pain killers if u can(i know a guy if u want), don't bother tryin' 2 take a nap, da pain will just ruin the sleep. Also, eat soft food like soups or shakes. 'round day 6, u should b able 2 eat bit harder foods, like meat(tats been boiled in a pot). Last but not least, ask 4 ether when da day comes, u don't want 2 feel the pain, seriously, & also, there might b more wisdom teeth in ur mouth that might need yankin'!

BTW, when its done, there will be a lot of loose blood, man. its not fun.

when my teeth hurt I use Orajel which seems to work the best of products off the shelth, home remedies that might help ground cloves.

I went under anesthesia to have all four of my wisdom teeth cut out this past summer. They really needed to come out, especially one that was sideways. I didn't feel anything until about an hour after surgery. But they prescribe an pain killer and antibiotic anyway plus you'll need about three days off work and/or school. I spend all three of my days just sleeping and occasionally waking to take my meds. After it's all over and the swelling goes down (in about a month) you'll be glad it's all done.
