Can they do this?!

Question: I haven't been to the dentist in a really long time, actually I did go almost a year ago, but they didn't do anything, but rack up months of visits ahead till braces. They might not have done anything that day, because they knew how scared I was...I really don't like being around people and have fears of just about everything. I was just wondering if anyone knew if there was anyway possible that they could like make someone sleep while they work on yuor teeth or what ever. Last time I had pills in my pocket and was ready to just pop pills, but got dragged into the building instead. lol So any opinon's\solution's would be great thanks. =]

You need to find a dentist that you trust, and not rely on pills to make you think you trust them... it has to be sincere.

Complete sedation during dental treatment is possible, but not probable in your case. Are you 'seeing' anyone to help with your fears? That may be your first step in conquering your phobias...

Also, you need to tell the dentist/doctor (whoever you're seeing) that you are on meds of some kind... this would be to avoid any complications that may come up due to contraindications between what you took and what you're given... and it could save your life.

I wish you the best of luck~

What??????

first of all...NEVER EVER go to a dentist and take a pill right before treatment without telling the detnist, that can cause serious problems for you and the dentist who doent' know what you put in your mouth prior to his /her treatment..

second, if you are scared of dental treatemtn , there are offices that offer sedation to their patients , or even nitro gas ...sedation is a better case for you ,

again! please never ever take pills or medication without telling the doctor who's about to treat you!!!!
