Question:
Ok.if you are a dentist HELP! I have two cavities and i don't know if they're baby teeth. I'm 12 years old!
One tooth needs pulled and another needs a filling! And I'm have no idea if they're baby teeth or not! But they're smaller then the ones in front! But, I'm scared of PAIN at the dentist office I don't mind needles but it's the procedure and after pain. I'm also worried if they're adult teeth that I won't have one tooth for the rest of my LIFE! I'm only 12!!!! I just want to ask DOES IT HURT!?
Answers:
Chances are the tooth that needs to be pulled is a baby tooth... and you can't get a veneer to replace an extracted tooth. If it is a baby tooth, you may get a space maintainer to keep the area open for the adult tooth to come in.
Your visits should be pain-free, since you'll be numb. If you're reeeeally stressed about it, see if you can get nitrous oxide in addition to the local anesthetic. It will relax you.
Good Luck!
