Toothpaste from China?

Is Colgate safe to use? I use it all the time and I'm wondering if it is safe, since the recent China incident.

Well, the whole China incident was seperate from the Colgate one. (CHINA incident) The cheap branded toothpaste from the dollar store or bargain stores maybe the one with diethylene glycol, or DEG. Check the labels before you buy it. Those ones are usually made in China. The Colgate incident delt with imitation that was made in South Africa. They used the same ingredient DEG in those as well. It was stated clearly from officials at Colgate that those ones imported from South Africa had mispellings and that they made a size in which the US does not sell. It is safe to use the authentic one that you purchase at supermarkets or other retail stores. I do suggest you to stay away from the bargain stores. There have only been 4 states that has found those Colgate in sales. A majority of the states did not sell those at all.
Just read the labels carefully before you buy it and never depend on the bargain stores.

REMEMBER: Colgate brand= made in South Africa; Cheap Dollar brands= made in China; Never buy any of them with DEG...if you see those you might want to alert the store manager so he/she can take those off the shelves!
