Types of braces, pros and cons?!
Question: I am getting braces (not invisalign or anything), but I was wondering; in the new type of braces (without the colorful bands), what are the pros and cons of the clear ones vs the normal metal ones? help! I need to know soon so I can decide what type to get.

I have actually worn both. I started out with the ceramic braces with metal on the bottom. I hated the ceramic braces because the ligatures that hold the wire on to the ceramic brackets stained real easily. I wish I would have gone with the metal ones to begin with because my orthodontics told me that I would have gotten off faster because the ceramic ones are not as strong.
After I got my wisdom teeth pulled my teeth begin to move and I ended up with a few spaces so I had to wear braces again but just on my top teeth. This time around I chose the metal. In my opinion they feel more comfortable than the ceramic ones because they are a little smaller.
