What should I do?!

Question:

What should I do?

I recently went to a dentist to have all of my upper teeth pulled and all but 6 of my lower teeth pulled. I was to receive a full upper denture and a partial on the lower. here is my problem after about 1and a half hours of getting teeth pulled the lab technician who was making my upper plate and lower partial came in and asked if the partial was ok. at this time the dentist asked what partial? and then looked at me and said remember we talked about the partial? I shook my head yes and then he said. I got carried away and pulled all your lower teeth. But here is what I will do I will upgrade your dentures to the premium package and in a year I will give you mini implants at no additional cost. ( 1295.00 package).
would you settle this by allowing the dentist to make this right on his own or should I seek legal cousel?

Answers:

Eesha gave great advice, but I have a couple of questions for you...

What if you're not a candidate for implants?

What if the dentist sells the practice/moves/dies before the year is up?

If you are a candidate for the implants, the usual waiting period is 6 months after the screws are put in. See if you can have it done asap. The sockets can be filled in with bone from other outside sources.

Get his treatment plan in writing, with a signature on it, and make sure the $0 fee is included in it.

This sounds like malpractice to me. How can he just 'get carried away' with the extractions???

I'd seek legal council.
