I want to be a dentist one day?

Someone who is not a rocket scientist, nor an over-achieving valadictorian please tell me what the level of difficulty is and how it is in general?

The academics are not all that difficult. If you don't procrastinate and have good studying habits, the material covered in dental school is not particularly difficult to learn.

The graduation rate for U.S. dental schools is in the high 90% range (i.e. those who successfully pass the National Dental Board Examinations and earn their DDS/DMD degree), and that says a lot about the level of difficulty of the material.

You do need to be good with your hands though. Dentistry is definitely not for those who do not have good hand-eye coordination or don't like working on small objects.
