Over-the-counter (non-prescription) products are available at WalMart, Target, and similar stores. If you follow the directions carefully, you should have whiter teeth within a few days. Keep on going, as directions state, and you will have even better results.
Braces can leave uneven colorings, much like coffee stains, but you can fix that!

go to the store and see what they have. all of them work the same. i like crest white stips but it takes longer than 5 days

The white strips work the best. I used the cvs brand and they were as good as the name brand, but cheaper.
your dentist should have cleaned them when he took the braces off.
