My son has gotten a blister inside of his mouth after having a filling, does any!

Question:

My son has gotten a blister inside of his mouth after having a filling, does anyone know what this is?

the blister is near where the filling was done

Answers:

He could have been rubbed by the dental equipment during the filling process and has developed a canker sore. If it is red with a white center that is probably what it is. Or, the filling may be too rough and is irritating his mouth. Ask your son to rub his tongue on the filling to see if it is too abrasive. It may need to be polished more. If it has been more than a week and it is not subsiding, please contact your dentist. Good luck to your son.
