What would cause a tooth to absess over and over again, every few months?!

Question:

What would cause a tooth to absess over and over again, every few months?

I have a tooth that absesses every few months since about 1997, I brush twice daily and floss about two to three time per week, it seems to be absessing above my upper back teeth, I asked my dentist about it a couple of years ago, but he seemed in to big of a hurry to answer, this is the first time this year it has happened, but it seems to be the worst

Answers:

Well it means the infection has reached the root of your tooth. What happens is you either have a hairline fracture, gap, or broke tooth that has allowed a cavity to set in. I suggest you get it taken care of or you will lose your tooth. Also overtime these infections can cause heart problems and get into your bloodstream which is really bad- death can also occur to those that have let the infection go to the extreme. It is only gonna cost you more money in the future to fix it if you keep putting it off. You will need to get rid of that infection and then the doctor can try to save your tooth. Root canal and then a crown. Sounds like you are scared of the dentist. They have plenty of dentists now that put you to sleep and do all the work and you will never know.
