How long would i have to wear braces?!

Question: I'm 20, my teeth aren't perfectly straight, but they aren't too crooked either. My main problem is my two teeth in the front (embarrassing but they kind of have a fang effect)...how long do you think i would have to wear braces? also, how much do you think they would cost if you know...thank you

Most cases can be finished in 12-36 months, depending on severity. Typical cases take 18-24. Silver braces work faster than ceramics (clear/toothcolor) and Invisalign is a good option for simpler cases. Cost varies. I've seen cases as cheap as 1500 to over 5,000 dollars. Schedule a new patient exam. They usually offer them for free. Sometimes, you have to pay for xrays, but most places offer them for free. You can get a few opinions before you start treatment.

Hope this helps. :o)

This is up to your orthodontist, as only he/she can know the answer. We can't see your teeth, and most of us probably aren't orthodontists ourselves. The average time to wear braces is about 24 months (2 years) but everyone is different. The average cost for braces can be anywhere from $3000 - $8000, depending on your type of treatment, and if you need any other dental appliances for example, Headgear, Expanders, etc.

It can be costly, but it's defanitely worth it.

I am 25 and I've had mine on for 3 years, it really depends on what you need corrected, my bite was very bad and I had some crowding. also it takes longer the older you get, because your bones are set.
But in 119 days, or so I get them off- it cost around $7000 all in. but soo worth it, I pay monthly to my orthodontist. so it worked out very well for me.
