you may need braces, and sometimes after you get braces you will need a retainer which is used to keep your teeth from becoming crooked again, often head gear is for an overbite which has more to do with your alignment of teeth as a whole rather than each individual's tooth alignment, you can choose not to have head gear its all up to you, but i suggest going to see an orthodontist, who can advise you more on the types of equipment you will need
