Is my expander going to expand both sides of my mouth or just one?
I recently got an expander with my braces because my right side jaw is smaller than the bottom, by using the expander is it going to expand my left upper jaw over my bottom?

an expander ... Expands your whole jaw not just one side. What will happen is your palatal bone ( roof of your mouth )
will be stretched a little at a time. usually by turning a "key" in the center of the expander each day, your orthodontist will monitor this and will remove the expander when your jaw expands the right amount
