How long should you wait before drinking alcohol after getting your wisdom teeth!

How long should you wait before drinking alcohol after getting your wisdom teeth taken out?

i got two of my wisdom teeth taken out on monday morning and was wondering if it would be ok to have a few drinks this weekend...like friday or saturday..and if there was certain things that would be better to drink then others...eg i heard beer is bad for infections.. ?


Answers:

I would avoid the sugary stuff, I've had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed and had no problems with beer. I'd wait about 72 hours and if your on antibiotics wait until you've used them up. Also watch out when mixing alcohol and pain meds.
