also, how much does teeth whitening usually cost? how do they do it? i want to get it done for my mom too

Your dentist can whiten teeth, you just book an appointment in a way similar to booking a regular checkup. The dentist that I go to offers two options :
-A do-it-yourself whitening that can be done at home with bleach and such. I think this costs around $500. I believe it's somewhere around 2 hours a day for a week, usually at nighttime.
-An at-the-office treatment that takes 5 hours and costs $700. You will do the 5 hour beginning than come back in a month and then come back and just get it touched up every time you visit for a checkup.
It pretty much lasts forever unless you do it wrong somehow. You will need to get touch ups every 6 months or so, or whenever you feel they're not as white as they could be. Good luck.
