o.k., first thing there is no such name as dentistphobia,

so you fear the dentist, have a loose tooth and are in pain

use anbesol to numb the gum and yeah it is probably an adult tooth, where is the tooth located.

Sometimes people do not loose a baby tooth as they were supposed to, and this can happen, but no matter what, it has to be checked. If you do not see a dentist regularly your teeth will decay and you will get gum disease which can be very painful and you will end up with dentures at a young age. No matter what you cannot avoid the dentist.

The dentist has gas for people who are nervous about going. They also have a pill you can take prior to the visit to calm you, and then give you the gas while you are there, you will be very relaxed and won't even feel the novicane shot, and after novicane, you won't feel any pain from having the tooth examined or extracted.
I am not fond of dentists, so I know where you are coming from, and I have had the gas myself, and it really does help.
But trust me, neglecting your teeth, will only cause you more dental visits and pain than necessary if you had gone as you were supposed to , to begin with. Good Luck and hope this helps you.
For now use the anbesol (extra strength) to help the pain....apply directly to gum area around tooth and do not spit out (although you will feel like you have to spit due to the numbness). That will help temporarily.

have an adult look at it... everyones gonna tell you to go to the doc's or... pull it out urself

ROFL, First of all make sure it's not an adult tooth,
if it is, you will need to go, that's it
If it's not ask an adult to help you pull it out

Nicole, pull your head out of your *** and go to the dentist, unless you want to be the only 14 year old in your school wearing dentures. Let me tell you, guys don't dig chicks with dentures.

Take Advil or use ambesol to numb the pain for a while. I used to be scared of the dentist at 14 too... if you go now, less problems when your older. I love the dentist now.. after 3 root canals!!

either way u will end up going. if it falls off you will need to see if another will grow or you need a replacement. if you have a gap your teeth will move and that will look ugly in a few years

sounds like a baby tooth it all depends hav u eat anything hard lately if u hav then thats probaly the problem.

is it ur milk tooth??? if it is a bad 1, try sum clove oil...but sumtimes they do cause serious probs if it is not 4 a specific prob...ask advice 2 a dentist...they wont do anythin without ur permission

warm water and salt will help like get ride of the pain and if theres an infection it will help as well...
do you remeber loosing all your teeth cuz i lost all my teeth in the kinder-4th grade
dont mess with it give it time

You dont have to go, but i'll take the brief moment of pain over daily agonising pain anyday. I dont recall my baby teeth falling out being a painful experience.

go get something over the counter like orajel or ambesol rub one your gum where it hurts and it numbs it until someone can take a look at it.

Loosing a baby tooth doesn't hurt unless you pull it out too soon. And I KNOW you don't want me to say this but kid, it's time to grow up and go to the dentist or grow old and have your teeth rot out. Do you know how many people would love to go to the dentist but they don't have insurance?

Go now or pay later.

In the meantime, go to Walgreen's and ask the pharmacist about some over the counter mouth wash, by Colgate (not sure the name. Ora-something I think). It's for short term use only. Gets rid of infection.

If it is an adult tooth and it is loose, it may be that you're not taking care of your teeth like you should (i.e. regular cleanings/check ups at the DENTIST). If you don't get this seen about soon, it may cause you to permanently be missing a tooth. Not sure where it is, but how would you like to have an empty space right there? I'm not telling you to go to the dentist if you don't want to, but that's the only way you;re going to permanently get rid of the pain and get to keep your tooth. If you won't go to the dentist, all I can suggest is Advil/Tylenol/etc until the tooth falls out. Good luck making the right decision. BTW, if you find a good dentist, you won't have dentistphobia anymore. I used to hate going to the dentist until I found my current dentist, and now I actually like to go get my teeth cleaned, etc. Shop around, and find a dentist that is easy to talk to, and has a good beside manner. They will make you feel more comfortable, and before you know it, they have your tooth fixed up and you go home!

well if i were u, i would have the dentist check it out but since u don't want to go to a dentist, you should have an adult, like your mom or your dad, check it out. as for the pain, take a painkiller such as tylonel or asprin. painkillers usually work for me when I have any kind of pain. If you need to, you can tke extra strength painkillers

yeah, 14 is kind of a late age to still be losing teeth. I think I finished losing my teeth at around 12 or 13.

I suspect that all your baby teeth are gone and the lose tooth is an adult tooth. You can try an over the counter product for tooth pain, but these don't fix the problem. They just kill the pain. I know you don't want to hear this but you should go to the dentist. Your fear is unfounded. Modern dentistry is nearly painless. I've had two root canals. The pain of the procedure was minimal compared to the pain of the toothache.

Well, if the tooth is loose its coming out no ifs and or buts about it! If it is in the back, and you don't care, the only thing you can do is take OTC pain reliever, if that is not strong enough....now hear me out...go to the dentist..he will tell you about your tooth blah blah...ask him if you can come back tomorrow to have the work done, he will take down your info BUT he will also write you a prescription for a stronger pain medication if you tell him the pain is excruciating. Fill the prescription, take the meds as directed and I am sure by the time the tooth comes out it wont be painful anymore!

Good Luck!

Just go to the damn dentist!

listen up try gargle with peroxide do not swallow just gargle the fizzing will get the infection out the infection is hurting u does your mom bake try vanilla extract use both 1 at a time

It COULD be a baby tooth. I lost my last one when I was a senior in high school. But because you're in so much pain, you're gonna have to go if it keeps up. I knew someone who had an infection in their mouth for a few days...they wouldn't go to the dentist...they ended up passing out and had to be carried out of their house on a stretcher. No joke. For now take something to get the swelling down, like ibuprofin, tylenol, etc. Then, find that tube of Orajel and make friends with it. Swish out your mouth with Listerine (kills germs) after you eat or drink anything. If you don't have Listerine, try swishing with warm salt water, I guess.

if it is a big tooth then you should knw if it falled out then you could stop wiggling it. Then try orajel and the pain should go away quikly. I dnt blame u 4 nt goinn to the dentist!!!!!lol :)
