What is a good age to get braces?!
Question: I am 12 and want to get braces. I have lost my 12 year old molars but still have one baby tooth and 2 gaps. Can I get braces yet? If not now when? I really need some answers!

get them soon as possible. im 16 in grade 11 and just got them and i wish i would have gotten them earlier. And it dosent matter if u still have baby teeth, your orthadontist just wont put a bracket on those ones so that they can get loose and fall out

any time between 12 and 22 and for girls once you have started your periods (who knows why?)
My daughters dentist has told us that she will need braces and she is 8 but they said that they have to wait until she loses all of her baby teeth and her permanent come in. Good Luck:)
i had to wait for years to get my braces and i've only recently just got them. im nearly 15 now. however people of 40 are getting braces so don't worry. your teeth still need to develop properly before the orthodontics can tell you what you need done! so don't worry yourself gal!
You need to lose all your baby teeth, take it slow and don't rush.

If you put braces before losing all your baby teeth then, your baby teeth might come off and causes a problem if ya know what i mean.
it all depends on what you need. if you get them on now which is fine, you will probably be in them longer because the orthodontist will have to change things up once you get permanent teeth and lose your last deciduous tooth. Some children start them as young as 7 and some are recommended to start much later. The best people to answer this question for you is your family dentist and your orthodontist.
