Question:

Does your mouth have to be fully dry when using crest white strips?

if u get any spit on the strip or anything like that..will it not work properly?

and does your mouth have to be closed at all 30 min unable it to work?

Answers:

I'm on day 14 with whitestrips right now.

nearly 2 weeks ago I discovered that your teeth must be dry in order for the strips to adhere. So I just take a clean towel and dry off the front of the teeth to be white-stripped. I also learned to brush my teeth before putting on white strips. If you have plaque or other gunk on your teeth, the strips might not stick, or might whiten everything except whats covered in plaque.

Yes, the strips will malfunction if you get any moisture on them at all, before sticking them to your teeth. You also shouldn't eat or drink while you have them in. (I got around the whole drinking thing by using a straw - genius, right?)

they really should tell you on the box that your teeth should be dry... cuz I wasted two perfectly good whitestrips at $2 per strip. And at $30 per box, you'd think they'd be able to afford to put two more lines of instructions on there.

and no, your mouth doesnt have to be closed the whole time.
they should stay on whether you're talking (with a lisp when the whitestrips are on, lol), or just sitting gape-mouthed staring at the computer. haha. ...but only if you dry your teeth first of course.

one more word of advice... you may notice that a spot or two on your gums turn white, but don't worry, it goes away after a few minutes. (well, at least I HOPE its nothing to worry about)

good luck, and happy whitening!
