If you have a tooth infection, the tooth needs either to be treated with a root canal filling, or it needs to be extracted. Antibiotics may temporarily suppress the infection, but until the tooth is fixed, it is likely to blow up again. Don't play around with it. You could wake up and not recognize yourself. The danger of an infection being so close to your brain is not joking matter. Get into a dentist ASAP.

Ive had a few tooth infections recently, got one now & am taking antibiotics for it, depending where you are you need to go & see a emergency dentist, in the UK you just call a number & they treat you, rinse with warm water with salt, dont touch the tooth with ur hand or tongue, use pain killers, if they dont work which sadly they dont for advanced tooth infections then just try to get to a dentist ASAP, they will either give u antibiotics or do something with the tooth, get it extracted, but no root canal cuz it will come back, i personally hate dentist's cuz they make things worse, i never had problem with ma teeth before i started going to the denstist's, everything esle is seconday when you have a toothache, emergency dentist's have to treat you no matter what, in the UK this is mandotary, i also fear going to the dentist's but sometimes there is no option, tell them ur in pain and they will sort u out, wish u well & quick recovery, Peace.
ahhh I feel your pain..Take some Advil or Motrin,put some anbesol on the gum around the tooth and call the dentist asap!!
