Does getting a shot for cavity hurt?!
Question: i have three cavitys and im going to get them fill in at this new dentist place they do it different then my other dentist they do the shots and my old one put some gel i forgot but it didnt hurt will the shot hurt?

When I go to the dentist, the shot is the least of my concerns. Really, it is so fast and painless. Dentists use a topical numbing ointment so that you can't feel the shot going in..... wait a few seconds and bam, your done! Hey, when I go to the dentist, I don't even care about the shot. It's the easiest thing for me.
when my teeth were puled they gave me a shot of nova cane it didn't hurt at all it was just a little pinch
the shot doesnt hurt. i had my first cavity when i was like 8 and i dont remember it hurting that bad
Dude, buck up and take the shot. The Dentist can place some gel on the area to start to numb the area. For some procedures you do not need to be numb. You can also look for a dentist in your area that uses a laser like biolase to remove the decay with out novacaine.
It feels like a little pinch but not painful at all and a minute later the area is numb. The pain of getting the shot is way easier to handle than the pain of a toothache which will happen if your cavity isn't taken care of..good luck and be brave
the cavities are worse than any shot. start brushing and flossing better -learn your lesson before you start keeping your teeth in a cup.
Ok... Dude I've had SO MANY cavities filled. Well... It's not that bad when I think about it but I would scream and cry at the dentist, still do. My dentist was my stepdad most my life and he wasn't a good dentist. Calm down, take a deep breath, and suck it up. It'll all be good. Btw I'm 14 so over ten years of dental work here and I still got the rest of my life to come. Good luck dude. Everything will be fine and you'll be happier know that it's not in your mouth anymore and that it's filled. Also... The shot is just a pinch and if it's not traditional novicane it's lidocain, my new dentists uses traditional novicane but my stepdad used lidocain. Lidocain has a short quick burning sensation then the numbness sets in but trust me you'll be fine.
