Call the office where you had your wisdom teeth removed, even tonight. They may have a Dr. on call over the week end, or a number where someone can be reached to help figure out what is going on. A visit to the ER may be warranted, especially if you are swollen. They could at least put you on an antibiotic until you can see someone on Monday. In the mean time, as suggested above, take Advil or Motrin, and rinse with warm salt water. Warm, moist heat will help as well. The warm moist heat will help draw any infection to the surface. You can take a wet washcloth and place in the microwave for 1-2 minutes or run it under hot water for a while. If you are having throbbing pain, you may be dealing with a dry socket, but usually not this long after the extractions have been done. Dry sockets need to be packed with medicated Gel-foam. It is almost instant relief. But it really sounds more like an infection to me. Tonight I would sleep with your head elevated as lying flat can cause any pain to be worse. Don't be afraid to call whether it is your dentist or the ER but have it checked out, something is going on.

Call your dentist you may have infected the area or have dry socket.Take advil or motrin to reduce inflamation and rince with warm salt water.Get it checked asap as the swelling will most likely get worse.Good luck

Hi... Michele H nailed it... See your dentist as soon as you can... I hope all will heal quickly... take care :)
