can you change the color of the brackes

They have clear brackets, but I've heard they take longer to move the teeth than the metal ones. Not sure if that is still true because it was several years ago that I heard that.
If you have brackets on now, they will charge you most likely a whole new treatment amount for your ortho. I doubt he/she'd do it for free.
