What is a permanent retainer?
A previous co-worker said he had one and he was pointing behind his teeth? Is it something they do from BEHIND? I currently wear the the clear plastic retainer that you just snap on but I hate wearing it cuz it makes my mouth water alot. It was $500 for the retainer? Will the permanent one be the same price?

its a little metal band that goes across the back of your teeth - keeping them always in place and never moving. I didnt have to pay anything for my permanent retainer - after I had braces i had the option ot to get it or a different one and only the other one cost anything. This is just a small wire they glue to your teeth - not expensive. Its great - except for flossing around.
