Problem with my new braces?

i just got my braces yesterday. im pretty sure everybody gets this problem the first time, but im feeling excruciating pain in my teeth when i bite down on anything. the ortho failed to tell me about this pain. ive even noticed one of my front teeth is lower than the other which i didnt notice before. i am pretty much sucking my food. all my teeth are in pain and they feel loose

so i know it happens to everyone, and my question is--- how long will the pain in my teeth last and what can i do to ease the pain and eat and live easily?

It's because the braces are pulling your teeth into place. It does ease up.

When I first got my braces I had a G-bar on the roof of my mouth and couldn't even swallow anything. It was hungry for 3 days. I got them off.... 2years ago.... and if I remember rightly, it takes about a week for the worst of the pain to go away, if not completely.

Also, the feeling comes back (but never as bad) every time they adjust the wires. That goes away very quikley. ( a few hours to 2 days... depending on the adjustment.)
