What should I eat after the first couple days of braces???!

What should I eat after the first couple days of braces???

I'm getting braces on July 3rd. Spacers on June 28. Please tell me what i should eat with both! I dont wanna have problems!!

I am a dental assistant. When I had braces I ate cramel and gum and all the crap kids eat and never had any problems. But I can tell you nobody told me how sensitive my teeth would be after I got home. I poured a big bowl of cereal I crunched into the first bite and I thought oh my god my head just exploded!!! For about three days you'll prolly want to stick with mashed potatoes apple sauce oatmeal (even baby food does the trick!) I wouldnt eat ice cream at first, your teeth will be moving and exposing your gums just a bit so they may be sensitive to cold. good luck!
