Tempromandibular Disorder or something else?!

Question:

Tempromandibular Disorder or something else?

The last few nights I've slept like crap and had some really messed up dreams. I waken like, every 2 hours and I have been really thirsty lately...I grind my teeth really bad, I've even had my dentist adjust my bite. My question is...
lately I open my mouth to eat and my jaw feels like it's popping right out of my head and it makes horrible noises. I don't even want to eat in front of anyone. I guess I never noticed before but my Mom gave me some strawberries and I was eating them and she said I sounded horrible. Also I have had a sharp pain above my left temple as well. Is it this TMD or not? Help. I need a solution...serious replies only. thank you.

Answers:

Yes, this is TMD. When the bones rub together it hurts and pinches nerves. You need most likely a bite device to help w/ this before it gets any worse and needs surgery. You need to see a TMJ specialist. They will make you a bite splint or mouth guard to wear. However, if you are not wearing a nightguard already you should be b/c of the grinding. Go get one and try this first. They do have over the counter ones near the floss usually.
