Painful bump inside cheek?!

Question: my bottom right wisdom tooth is growing in (i do not need them removed my dentist told me that there is room in my mouth for them) and about 2 days after it started i started experiencing a lot of pain. at first i thought it was the tooth growing in but then i discovered a small bump on my cheek right where the tooth is coming in. i have put ambesol and tried other painkillers but they do not work. i know thati have not bitten the inside of my cheek. the bump is not white just the same color as the inside of my cheek. it hurts to eat and it hurts when i put my tounge on it. any idea what this could be? and how to get rid of it?

It could just be the irritation of the tooth rubbing against the inside of your cheek as the first poster responded. There wasn't anything to rub against that part of your cheek before, so I bet that's the culprit.

However, if this has been going on for days though, definitely visit a doctor. Parotid glands are located in the upper part of each cheek, close to the ear. The duct of each parotid gland empties onto the inside of the cheek, near the back teeth of the upper jaw. It might be an infection.

Try a saline solution to rinse out your mouth but absolutely, positively see a doctor!

It could be just irritated from your tooth coming in, my wisdom tooth came in a little crooked and rubbed my gum raw.

its called an abses, talk to your docter about it and he/she might give you some medication...and try push against the abses (that will get rid of al the bad stuff inside) and try not to chew neer that abses

+ if ur are suffering of a pain in your tooth ... i would recomend putting an onion or scalion between your teeth ... it helps a lot!...
