Bad breath caused by white/cream colored..things..3 questions asked.?!
Question: I've found recently that the bad breath I've been having is caused by a white/cream colored thing..they tend to be very small about the size of a nerd candy. They are found toward the back of my mouth on each side when I open my mouth you can't see them until I stick my finger back to the side of my mouth and hit a small..area where they are behind..they come out fairly easy often when getting them out I hit my gag reflex which get's really annoying. I want to know what it is, how it got there and how to get rid of it. I have pictures if you would like them..when I get them out they smell horrible clearly telling me that they must be the cause of my bad breath. my questions again are: What are they? How did they get there? and How do I get rid of them (other then the way I do now, they come back)?

They're called tonsilloliths, or tonsil stones. They're made up of all the yucky stuff in the throat such as food particles and mucous getting stuck in your tonsils. You can remove them with a soft-bristled toothbrush (but be gentle!), and prevent them by regular gargling.
edit: Make sure you gargle EVERY DAY with an oxygenating mouth rinse. I use PerioTherapy by Dr. Katz. Most drug stores sell it. Good luck :)
Go see the dentist...my friends bf had the same prob. but we're not close so i didnt ask him a bunch of questions about it..but he's breathe smells alot better now so I guess the Dentist did a good job!

Yeah I have those too. Did you have a lot of sore throats when you were little? I did and my tonsils are scarred. When they scarred they made these little pockets where food and mucus and stuff gets stuck on there and builds up to form those white things. They have probably the worst smell I've ever smelled in my entire life. You really need to get your tonsil removed. I haven't yet due to no insurance. Good luck!
