On average, when should wisdom teeth come in?!

Question:

On average, when should wisdom teeth come in?

I'm 20 and still don't have any signs of them. I'm hoping that I never get them. Though my sister got them when she was around 22.

Answers:

Mine were all in by the time I was 16. One of my daughters who is 23 is just getting hers. I think it is based upon the individual physiology.

We all grow at different rates and mature differently based upon many many factors. I would not worry about it, especially if your front teeth are not shifting or overlapping from the wisdom teeth.

If you have pain as they grow or itching feeling, eat carrots to help them break through or something hard. Ice, nuts, celery may help.

The teething medicines for children help too. If you feel irritable, catch a cold, or have diarrhea, you may get relief from Hyland's teething medicine. You will find it in health food stores in the children's homeopathic remedy section.

Anbesol can be helpful that you can get at any place that sells over the counter medicines.

Don't forget to brush, especially if you have flaps of skin that are covering some of the tooth where food particles can hide.
