Is genital warts contagious?!

Question:

Is genital warts contagious?

OR JUST AS HARMFUL AS HERPES?

Answers:

Genital warts are NOT herpes.

HSV = Herpes simplex virus = herpes - causes blisters
HPV = Human Papilloma Virus = warts - some forms cause warts, some cause changes in the cervix leading to cervical cancer. This is why the Gardasil vaccine has been developed to protect women against the most dangerous warts viruses and thus to prevent cervical cancer.

Genital herpes is not harmful, unless contracted by a newborn baby during birth. It is comparatively benign, it can cause some pain and discomfort, but not by any means to everyone that has it, only to a small minority. It is only a cold sore in a different location, after all.
