Yet another wisdom teeth question.?
I had all 4 extracted on Friday. The bottom right one I can see a black hole. Is that normal? It doesnt hurt or anything at the moment. The dentist gave me some muscle relaxers because I was in a lot of pain but now I am okay for the most part. So it that normal? I just went to the dentist earlier today and he said everything looked good but I just find it weird that I can see a black hole in my mouth. Wouldnt that hurt something?

Hello again. Yes it is normal and the gums will grow over and join together and you won't have anything but the memory of where the tooth was. The wisdom tooth is rather large so when they took it out that is what left the hole in your mouth. I can't remember how long it took mine to grow over but it didn't seem like it was that long. We aren't talking years anyway. Maybe a month or two? I even had a "flap" of gum that I was sure would have to be cut out but it even grew in with the other and it all looks great now. Just make sure you rinse and follow the Dr's orders and you will be OK.
