Can an irritation from braces?
Cause you upper lip to be slighty swollen. If so what should be applied or done?

yeah, you can try putting the wax on so it won't cause any more pain. In the mean time to try to heal it, you can get a glass of warm water and pour some salt in it. Then you will just rinse your mouth with the water. Don't swallow the water!(Unless you want to! lol) this will help the swelling to go down. It worked for me. Hope it works for you!
