How long does it take for teeth to turn dark?!

Question: Two of my front teeth used to be very sensitive to pressure. This all happened right after I used these crest whitestrips. But it only happened on two of my front teeth...the rest were totally fine. It could have been a coicidence since right around that time I started clenching those teeth during the daytime without realizing it. At one time I thought maybe my teeth were cracked! (this was going on in late October and early November 2007) Well they've gotten a lot better. They no longer give me that weird sensation when I bite on them. I'm thinking that if they were damaged, wouldn't they turn dark by now since its now early January 2008? Also these teeth feel a little cold compared to the other teeth. Can someone tell me what is going on? Please be honest, have the life of these teeth been shortened or have they been damaged at all? Do teeth take a long time to heal?

ANY bleach product can cause hypersensitivity to COLD. It is an extremely common problem.

To solve it, use SENSODYNE toothpaste. In addition to brushing with it, I want you to go to Wal-Mart or a sporting goods store and buy a sports mouth guard (unless you already own one).

Smear the sensodyne all over the sensitive teeth and insert the mouth guard. Wear it for 20 minutes. Remove it and rinse it, and your teeth, with mildly warm water.

Repeat once or twice a day until your sensitivity is gone.

This technique gets the active ingredients in the sensodyne into your enamel quickly and thoroughly, certainly more quickly that brushing alone would provide. One or two treatments might be sufficient but it depends on the severity of your sensitivity.

Don't worry, you cannot overdo it.

Do not abuse bleach products. Use as recommended on the packaging. Over-use CAN weaken enamel and dentin.

One year!

it was those white strips, i had the same thing
