Question about new lip piercing.. Please Help?!

Question: I got my lip pierced about a month ago. It's the right side of my lip.

For at least 2 weeks now it has been bothering me. All the teeth on the right side hurt. The right side of my mouth is really red and looks bad on the inside. The right side of my face even hurts.

What does this mean? Should I take it out? Buy a different kind of lip ring? Maybe plastic lip ring?

Since you say that your mouth is red and looks bad on the inside, it's probably infected. You could go to where you got the peircing done and they'll recommend something. You could go to your doctor/ER and they can do something. You can take the piercing out and it'll close, brush and gargle everyday (normal oral hygiene) and it'll probably heal itself.

But you most likely have an infection or will get one and that's not good, especially in your mouth (there's more germs in there than a toilet...ew).

EDIT:
I forgot, allergies. You may be allergic to one or more metals in your ring. You may want to try a lip ring that is plastic and also one that has NO sharp edges or points or anything that could damage the inside of your mouth. (I don't recommend lip peircings b/c: They cause your gum line to receed because of constant rubbing from the jewelry onto your gums. They are easily bothersome as you are now experiencing, and can ruin your teeth because of the constant contact from the jewelry).

It means you need to go to a dentist or a doctor immediately. If you can't get an appointment try the emergency room.

your mouth takes longer to heal because you use it so much.if you don't play with it 9i know it's hard) it will heal faster.

Do not take out the ring, consult the piercer.

If there's an infection, piercings heal from the outside in, and it will trap the infection in your mouth.

Go to your piercer, and he will probably refer you to your dentist or doctor.

I personally have a piercing on my eyebrow and it bothered me for several weeks. Just everyday things like wiping something of my head and forgetting that the piercing is there and it would hurt, obviously. My friend has a lip piercing and it bothered her as well. With the same situation and considered taking it off. But some time went on and it all went away. But by no means should you ignore this 'cause this could be serious.I would go back to where you got it done and have it looked at and have someone like a local clinic take a look as well if you feel it to be that much of a problem...Good luck, it should look and feel great soon.
