I know its hard to to do but try to relax. And make sure you get a good nights sleep. If your not having sedation you should be OK to eat in the morning you should because you may not be eating much after. If your going first thing in the morning that's good you wont have to much time to think about it during the day.The best thing to do is realize that people get this done every day and do very well. The anesthetic itself wont take very long if you can just focus on something when the dentist is giving it to you.Id rather have a pinch for 30 seconds than deal with the extreme discomfort of the procedure itself. After, make sure you clear your day so you can rest you wont feel like doing much.Try alternating the pain med they give you with Motrin or Advil to help with the inflammation.Buy some soft cold food so you have it already yogurt, applesauce or ice cream.Don't smoke after if your a smoker and don't swish vigorously with anything or suck anything through a straw. You want blood clots to form and these actions will dislodge them causing dry socket (you don't want that)It will be over before you know it.If you accept there will be discomfort you can deal with it.Good Luck!!

Let me put it this way.How would you feel if the dentist didn't numb your mouth before he started to work on taking out the teeth?
I'm a chicken too but you must face your fears. And do the best to relax so the dentist can do his job.

wow i would hate to be you. are ur wisdom teeth impacted or are almost in or r they in. i recently had 1 wisdom tooth that was completely impacted in the jaw and the only thing i had was some numbing stuff. make sure ur dentist/oral surgeon numbs all ur roots to ur wisdom tooth. it depends how u can take pain.
