What can I expect when I go to the dentist?!

Question: I'm almost 23 and have never been to the dentist. I have 3 cavities that I know of, but one of them in particular has been causing me a lot of pain these past 2 days. I have tried several tooth-numbing treatments, none of which have been very effective. The only thing that has been working is ibuprofen, but that's potentially dangerous. Personally, I would rather not use any medication because I believe it does more damage than good most of the time, but I couldn't take the pain anymore. Anyway, half of the tooth is gone. I have a dentist appointment on Wedensday. I'm hoping they can just extract the tooth. What can I expect? As I said, I have at least 2 other cavities, can I tell them not to bother with them, as they aren't a problem.

Well you can tell them what you want to but, i think its best you let them take care of them all cause it won't be long to they will give you problems too. most likely they will twilight you and you won't fill nothing but pressure. When your teeth start going bad and you let it go then they are start getting bad, but who knows your teeth may be good after you get rid of the bad ones. Good luck to you.

it isn't the cavities you have to worry about when you go to a dentist-its your wallet-most of these people are blood suckers-example-got 5 teeth capped a couple yrs ago-the total bill was $5100-i figured it out and with paying help etc this no good sob made a profit of $4000 for about 8 hrs work-some jail time would do these people good-oh by the way 3 of them broke off already

You will feel tension, worry and you should also expect a hell lot of pain when then inject you with an injection in the teeth. In my opinion you should tell the doctors of your condition or you will have to lose your entire teeths. I know this because i have experienced this and my father has too. He didn't go to the dentist so now he has little teeth left.

It will be a painful process but the good news is you will also find relief in taking care of yourself orally. Good Luck
