I im getting braces and people keep telling me it is goint to hurt really bad is!

braces dont hurt. the only thing that might be a wee bit painful would be your sore teeth. also your braces rub may cut up your lips and it hurts. so i HIGHLY recommend that you wear the wax that they give all week.

they barely hurt. just when u get them tightened but ull get used 2 that.
When you get them put on you'll be on anesthesia so you won't feel anything, but after you leave the dentist's office you'll probably feel pressure on your teeth and some pain for the first couple of days. Once your mouth gets used to the braces though it'll get better. And with braces you'll have to get them tightened every month and that discomfort will come back for a couple of days every time your braces are tightened. With every tightening though it'll be less painful. If you haven't made up your mind about braces yet then you might want to try something else called invisalign which I am currently using. It doesn't hurt at all, its invisible, and you can take them off and on very easily. It also costs about the same as braces. I hope this helped!
It'll hurt a little...Like the first few days when you first get them on. After that, it won't hurt anymore. It hurts because the braces are pulling and straightening your teeth and your teeth/gums aren't used to that.
Seriously, don't worry about! It'll be fine! Just remember that you're not going to be able to eat anything solid so I suggest eating some soup, mashed potatoes, noodles, rice or anything soft when you get your braces.
Oh yea, there will be little discomfort when they tighten the wire every month, but thats really nothing.

Basically adjustments hurt pretty bad. It makes it uncomfortable to eat.
BUT fear not! They only hurt for about 1-2 days.
The mild pain is worth it by far! : ]

ive had my braces on for 6 months now and it doesn't HURT. every once in a while you'll get a lil poke in the cheek and it aggorvates you more than anything. and when the wires get changed, it makes your mouth sore for like 2 or 3 days but its a good excuse to eat ice cream and stuff like that! but it doesn't cause any major pain. the day you get them on doesn't hurt at all. all they do is glue the stuff on ur teeth. you barely feel it. its kinda weird when you close your mouth for the first time. but it'll be ok.
tell those people to put a sock in it
