Who has had there wisdom teeth removed?!
Question: Well..i am getting oral surgery tomorrow to get all 4 wisdom teeth removed..plus an extra tooth they found above one of the wisdom teeth? Anyone who has had them removed...how long did it take you to recover from it....i know when my brother got the surgery he bruised pretty bad and was bleeding for days.

I have had mine out too, and it was not that bad. I did not bruise at all, but I am not sure if that is typical. I did bleed for a few hours afterward, and had to change my gauze quite a lot for a bit there, but once the bleeding stopped, besides being tender, and on a soft food diet, it wasn't all that terrible!
Expect a couple days of couch time!
TIP: For the first 24-48 hours, stay ahead of the pain with your pain meds. I've heard stories of people thinking they would be fine without the meds (residual meds from the drs. office might make you think you're fine!)and then regretted getting behind the pain. GOOD luck, you will be fine :)

Never, i don't have too. I got braces and they moved my teeth around so that I dont need to get them pulled
I only had them out one at a time. it takes about a week for the soreness to recede.
I got my 4 wisdom teeth takes out at the same time and It took me about a week to be able to eat normally, but only a few days for the swelling to go down and the bleeding to stop
It depends on the person and the teeth. Sometimes they are impacted and take more work to get them out. I had mine removed individually, under a local. I have no idea how long exactly when having them all removed.
i had all of mine removed at the same time and I think the bleeding stopped later in the day and i was almost back to normal in 2-3 days
I got the 2 wisdom teeth on my lower jaw removed a few years ago. For the first day or two it bleeds but soon stops (I put a little sort of sponge my dentist gave me in the gaps where the teeth were). It's a bit painful for the first few days (but no bruising), but you should recover in no time, don't worry.

yes l have all my wisdom teeth out and stangely they found another wisdom tooth in there too!!! some people do not get much swelling from it but you will need to rest for a week or so and do all that the doctor tell you to do??? l will pray for you that everything will go well for you???

I had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed and it took three days fully drugged and four days slightly drugged to recover. I wasn't bruised, but pretty swollen...
