Does herbal tea stain your teeth as much as regular tea and coffee?!

Question: Usually, herbal teas will not stain your teeth as much as regular tea and coffee. However, it may depend on the flavor and ingredients of the teas you select.

Discoloration of the enamel of your teeth can be minimized by keeping your teeth clean. If you brush your teeth, or at least rinse your mouth, after drinking coffee or tea, this will help a lot.

If you drink iced tea or coffee, you might use a straw. This will also protect your teeth.

By the way, I published an online article that describes how you can safely remove tea and coffee stains from your teeth. Check the link below (under SOURCES), if you want more information.

I know that coffee stains your teeth the most. I just tried looking to see if herbal teeth stains your teeth, and it says it may. It says that scientists found it is different from every herbal tea. It goes by the pH level of the tea, which is how bitter and sweet it is. Some are more acidic, and other herbal teas are more basic. Acidic herbal teas usually stain your teeth, while basic herbal teas don't stain your teeth.

If you need more information about herbal tea vs. tea and coffee, look at my source down below and have a look for yourself!!

I heard from people at a dentist's office that green teas and white teas can be just as bad as black teas. I'm not sure why. I might research this though, because I used to think that if the tea wasn't dark, it wouldn't stain my teeth. Then I was told otherwise but I still don't know the reason. However I brush my teeth in the morning and at night and I floss every night and use whitening toothpaste. So my teeth don't look stained or anything. Take good care of your teeth and hopefully the tea won't do too much damage. Tea is just too good to give up!

i know green tea definitely stains your teeth because i've been drinking 2 to 3 cups of green tea every day as part of my new diet since new years and my teeth are really yellow now :( but I've been losing weight.
