Whats the difference between DDS and DMD??
What is the difference and what do these titles actually mean.... is one degree better than the other??

As a dentist I can assure you that there is NO difference between the DDS and DMD degrees, this is just a preference of the school when awarding degrees and has more to do with tradition. I myself earned the DMD which is: Doctor of Dental Medicine 0r Doctor of Medical Dentistry; the DDS is: Doctor of Dental Surgery. Students in both programs learn the EXACT same thing and can do all of the same procedures.
